This is an idea of how to make a flower bed on your own. The garden is a place where we can enjoy the beauty of flowers in their natural environment, and benches are one of the most feasible at home and handy places for relaxation and contemplation. Combining them with flower beds is a great idea, which in a more solid performance finds a wonderful reception in a busy urban environment. The idea is simple, and there are dozens of options for execution - from a simple single-row construction, through "D" - shaped models, to more complex and artistically composed types. In all cases, however, the basic building blocks, although different in shape and color, are identical. Therefore, if you decide to make such a corner yourself, take the time to plan it, and we will give you some guidelines.
The leading role is played by the flower garden and its dimensions (d and e). Since this structural element is load-bearing, it is good to be made of quality solid materials. The shape can be rectangular, square, triangular or other and is determined by the main frame (b) around which the flower garden box (a) is built. The width and thickness of the enclosing boards (E) must be in accordance with the dimensions and weight of the bench, namely the height (h), length (l), width (d or e - depending on the flower bed) and the total mass of the beams composing the bench. and boards (A, B and C). The standard height of such a bench varies about 45-50 cm in the seating area. It can be mounted on the load-bearing boxes or on the side, if they have a higher planned height. Good leveling and avoiding torsions and tensioning are extremely important. Given the operating conditions, it is desirable that all materials be reliably impregnated and / or treated. The soil with the flowers can be laid directly in the flower beds or placed in separate pots inside. In the first case, it is desirable to line the inner walls with polyethylene coating and lay a drainage layer. In the latter, there is the convenience of easy harvesting or replacement of plants in inappropriate conditions or other reasons. In both cases it is good to have enough drainage holes drilled on the bottom plate. When you are aware of the details, you can proceed to the installation, which with good planning will take you a short time, then possibly add decorative elements (c, D), place in a selected place and arrange.
With more time, knowledge and imagination, you can also create a massive artistic backrest like this:
